Patients waiting for appointments in Carson City Hospital’s new lobby and waiting area on April 9 were put at ease by the soothing sounds of 17-year-old Savanah Kapteyn’s skilled fingers dancing over the keys of a new baby grand piano. The piano is part of the hospital’s new patient-friendly, relaxing atmosphere, complementing new, private registration rooms, a coffee shop, a floor-to-ceiling water feature, and a fireplace.
